Service Description

Talks by amazing and inspirational women, drinks and nibbles included. Lindsey Harrisons-Grimes, Nelsons Solicitors - Wellbeing in the Workplace Lindsey will be talking about all aspects of wellbeing at work and the importance of a holistic approach, including physical, mental, and financial health and overall personal growth to help individuals achieve job satisfaction and a work-life balance. We’ll look at the roles and responsibilities for fostering wellbeing in the workplace and highlight how individuals can feel empowered and in control of their own welfare. Finally, we’ll discuss the benefits of having a wellbeing strategy at the heart of the workplace to create better work and working lives and how healthy workplaces help employees to reach their potential. Talita Buckers, 2B PhysioFit & Well - Easy steps to improve your quality of life Talita's talk will be about simple and easily applied things/activities we can all do in our daily life to help us maintain mobility, flexibility, reduce physical and mental fatigue, improve sleep and overall quality of life. It will be a fairly interactive talk with audience participation. Louise Wint, Roam Retreats -Moments of calm in daily chaos We hear the words “a Spiritual Practise” and we likely dismiss it as something else that we just don’t have time for in our busy lives. Who needs another thing on the “to do” list!? Perhaps we also see it as “thats not really for me’, or we dip in and dip out, maybe treat it as a separate ‘pastime’, a Yoga class once a week, or a walk in nature at the weekend to chill out only when we feel we really need it? In this short talk, Louise will be sharing a few ideas and perspectives around why a daily practise can help us. How it ripples out into all areas of life, so we can begin to see how it can genuinely help us cope with the overwhelm and stress in our demanding careers and/or a hectic and busy home life. If we can begin to understand why something could support us, we may just be inspired to empower ourself in small ways, thereby start to create a shift in how we go about each day. Within this, she'll also share some simple techniques and tips to introducing helpful habits so it feels accessible. Empowerment to balance and to shift our daily life starts with that first small step, we don’t have to run off to India to start bringing ease into our Life, we can start right where we are in this moment, and take it from there.
