To celebrate International Youth Day, we are hosting an activities and wellbeing day for young people aged 11-17 to get involved with sports, wide games, and arts & crafts workshops. Visit King Edward Park on the 16th August from 10am-2pm, activities will be running throughout the day including archery, rounders, badminton, crafts workshops, meditation and wellbeing workshops and much more. Attendance to this event is FREE but we do require you to book a ticket per attendee and any donations will go straight back into providing for youth services for local people, so please do donate, even just £1 will make a difference. To find out more contact: fundraising@base51.org.uk Food & Drink: Please note young people should bring a lunch with them. There will be a limited number of snacks and drinks available throughout the day as well as a small tuc shop. We recommend attendees bring their own lunches. To raise awareness for young people’s mental health, we’re inviting you to take part in the The Big Track for Base 51 mental health walk! Come and join us on Thursday 5th September - it’s a great way boost your own mental health and have some team bonding/volunteering hours too! Why the 5th September? It’s the International Day of Charity! The Big Track 10 miles and will take around 3 hours! Starting at 10am from near the Train Station, we’ll walk along the Trent to Beeston Marina and then back to the city centre via the Canal (route attached). Wearing Blue or Red on the walk is encouraged! Sign up by registering below. We’re asking for a donation per person walking to our GoFundMe to help support Base 51’s mental health services for 11-25 year olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
