How We Support Young People
Support for
Young People
Base 51 is here to support your mental wellbeing. We’ve been doing our work in Nottingham since 1992, so our work hits different. We work with 11-24 year olds in the area, we’re the ones you can trust and rely on. IYKYK.
HOW WE SUPPORT YOU
We give you someone to talk to, somewhere to go after school/college and a safe place to meet new people. Base 51 is your chosen family.

Counselling and mental health support
Free or low-cost therapy sessions to support emotional well-being. Online or at our youth centre.
The counselling referrals are currently closed as we work through our waitlist. Email counselling@base51.org.uk to be alerted when it reopens. If you are in crisis, scroll down for information about other service
A Safe Space
A space chat, play PS5, do art, build confidence, and avoid brainrot! Whatever your vibe, find your tribe here.
LGBTQIA+ Group – Outburst
Here to be your safe space. A place to be yourself where you can let your Pride flag fly. Wednesday 5pm-7pm year olds for 16-21 year olds. Outburst group for 11-15 year olds coming soon
“If someone was thinking about coming to Base 51, I’d say that it is a safe space for everyone where you can come and be yourself without the fear of being judged. It’s also a place where tons of support is available.”

“Counselling sounds weird because we don’t usually talk to strangers about yourself, but that’s what’s good! They don’t have a particular image of you. Being face to face and seeing that someone is understanding and listening helps.”
