
Counselling
Base 51 have been committed to delivering quality counselling and psychotherapy to teenagers and young people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for over 30 years.
We offer person-centred support to young people and teenagers aged 10-25 years old who struggle with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational issues, adverse experiences, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation and much more. We have counsellors who are trained and experienced in providing counselling for teenagers and young adults in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
We offer a low cost service to young people who would like counselling. Our counselling sessions are priced on a sliding scale based on your household income, which means those on low income can still access this important support when they need it.
Our specialist funded programmes for counselling are also available.

Base 51 counselling

We can also offer some fully subsidised sessions for those who cannot afford to pay.

You cannot book a session without an assessment.
Social prescribing
Our social prescribers work with young people aged 11- 25 years old to assess their overall needs and support by offer appropriate signposting, referrals, and information as well as support and guidance on self-management.

Early intervention Counselling
By referring for support via Be U Notts you will able to access a range of support services including Base 51 counsellors who can provide one to one weekly counselling and one off drop-in counselling sessions. To access this service you must have a registered GP with Nottingham city or county.

Bespoke School Counselling
Base 51 have devised an offer for schools to enable us to support more young people with their mental health and ease the pressure on faculties, who may be having to work outside of their expertise to help students with serious mental health concerns.
