Safe Space Coordinator:
We are looking to recruit a Coordinator to join our Safe Space project, funded through the Office of Police and Crime Commissioners, Make Nott’s Safe fund. Our Safe Space Coordinator will be an experienced youth worker with ability to work with young people affected by or at risk of Hidden Harm. You will be required to work with young people on a one-to-one basis in addition to delivering workshops to raise awareness of Hidden Harm and its associated risks in a variety of youth settings.
The successful applicant will work within a specialist taskforce initiative to support young people attending alternative provision education in and around Nottingham. The role will include one to one and group counselling (if appropriate), assessment of young people’s mental health, needs and level of risk. Working alongside a range of professionals to support young people and safeguarding teams to ensure safe, ethical, and appropriate support. This role will require travel across Nottingham city and county to a number of alternative provision bases. The successful applicant will be a qualified counsellor (minimum level 4 diploma) with accreditation (or working towards) from a recognised governing body (such as BACP/NCS etc.)
Outburst Support Worker
We are recruiting a part time Youth Support Worker to support the delivery of the OutBurst sessions which has a specific emphasis on supporting young people who are, or feel they may be Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender or are Questioning their sexuality/personal identity (LGBTQ+).
No formal qualification is required for this role although youth work accredited training is available)
The hours for this post are:
Wednesday: 4.30pm to 8.30pm
